Rhapsody-Final Cruise-Aug.26,2007

Recommended Posts

Hi Everyone:

Rhapsody of the Seas' final 7 night sailing from Galveston,Texas will be on August 26, 2007. Many of us are sad that she is leaving. She is a beautiful, friendly ship and will be truly missed.

But-

Before she goes, we plan to organize a group consisting of loyal Rhapsody cruisers, to celebrate the great times that were had on this wonderful ship while she was in Galveston.

If you are interested, please post your name on this thread and how many are traveling with you on this cruise.

NOTE: You must have cruised at least once on the Rhapsody in order to be in this group.

Looks like my third Rhapsody cruise in May will be my final one. We've already planned and booked a fairly expensive land trip in June. I was just wondering this morning if the last date had been announced. Fausto, I am so glad you'll be among the ones to send her off in style.

Is the Rhapsody moving to another port? We cruised on her last July '06! Had the time of our life! Would love to make the farewell cruise! Keep us posted!

Yes, Kylaner. RCI is going to re-do her and send her over to Asia to cater to the local Asian market.

I would love to go on her final sailiing BUT dont know financially if I can, or what my schedule will be at that time, but it does tend to be the best time of year to take off. I can tentatively say yes but you know me, I might not be able to. Just too far out for me to say right now.

Wish we could do the last sailing with you, however we have an expensive one planned in February. We sailed only once on Rhapsody, Feb of 2004. It was, without a doubt, one of my favorite cruises. She is a gorgeous ship, lovingly taken care of by a wonderful crew. The passengers were fun loving and friendly. If you didn't have fun on that ship, it was your own durn fault. I have read the many reviews you have written, and I think it only fitting that you host her farewell party. Keep us informed, and have a blast!!!!

My thoughts exactly! How rude. I'm booked on that last sailing. Not sure I'll keep it or not, since I had originally wanted to cruise out of TX in Sept. Guess I can't join your little "group" since I have not been on Rhapsody before. Don't worry though, I'll have fun anyway.

Hey, girl, how are you doing! Come and go with us on the Rhapsody. We'll form our own group, if necessary.

We really wanted September, but what can we do? While we also like the AOS, we don't see us doing it again next year.

on the roll call for the cruise Missy and cruiseequalsfun. Am not sure what celebration TxSailor has planned but the rollcall is for everyone regardless. I think it will be FoxTrot's first cruise on Rhapsody but not sure - We want everyone to join and don't forget to register for the M&M also. Goin to be a great cruise. Look forward to seeing you on our roll call.

Anyone that knows Fausto would understand he is not being rude. He is not saying that if you have not cruised on Rhapsody you cant go on this sailing, He is talking about the gathering he is pulling together. It is like putting together a group for say Widget sales people, if you dont sell widgets then you could go on the same ship but not be in that particular group.

We are all a very friendly bunch, have a great time when we cruise and can be found in the club every night, usually until closing.

We love this ship and knowing Fausto, he will be the first to help you around the ship, or intro you to crew and staff he knows from all his sailings on her. He is really a good guy and I am thankful for these boards and Rhapsody because of them I met him and others and am proud to call them friends. They welcomed me with open arms when I finally met them on board the ship and have always tried to include me every cruise they take, not that I can go, but it is nice to know they want me a long.

Please dont take it wrong the way he put it, it was not meant in a fashion to hurt anyone.

Thank you Nitra, I sure hope you can make this cruise.

Before you call someone rude, ask to clarify... :)

Go take a cruise on Rhapsody before Aug.26,2007, then you can join our little group and have fun with us.

This group is for "loyal Rhapsody cruisers"...past Rhapsody cruiser. Now that she is leaving Galveston, we would like to throw a "Bon Voyage" for her, on her last passenger revenue sailing from Galveston.

Now I hope everyone understands what and who this group is for. Sorry for any confusion.

had this image of all of us, that last Saturday night, at dinner...both early and late seating..standing and singing two songs.....

Because of all the Texans that have grown to love this vessel...The Eyes of Texas..followed by auld ang siinge (Spelling?)

We are booking while onboard for our Nov 19, 06 cruise...

No matter what ship RCI brings, we will miss this really great vessel and the crews that have made many wonderful vacations.

I still believe most of the credit for her success was her first Galveston Captain, with his Stetson and great attitude!!!!
