Just back from Symphony, Baltic Cruise

Recommended Posts

Well, I am now a hugh fan of Crstal Cruise Line. We had a wonderful cruise

and the staff made it so enjoyable!

Kelly - CD and his staff were wonderful. Good luck Rick!!!

The entertainment with Mike, Nicola and Tom were some of the best I have ever seen on a cruise ship.

The ship did a great job with the FREE shuttles to the center of town in Stockholm and St. Petersburg. Russia was fabulous!

The ships shore excursions were good. I did alot of things on my own but enjoyed the Viking Fjord Musuem and the Rostock Tour.

The Trident Bar and Grill Staff were the best I have ever sailed with, I would look up and another drink or burger was coming my way, always greeting me by first name with a smile.

I love the Avenue Bar and Cigar Bar!!!!

Casino, Ceasars at Sea was wonderful. Gerald and his staff did a great job.

We only ate dinner in main dining room about 6 times but Jade and Prego

were great. Also the Theme Dinners and lunches in Trident Bar area were the absolute best!!!!!

My hats off the Sasha and the Conceirge Desk, they had a number of people

who did not get their bags in Denmark but they did their very best to help everyone.

Alec and I were the only ones who posted about this cruise and he and I had a great time on the cruise. We drank a little and did some great tours.

Anyone having questions regarding the ship please feel free to ask cause I know them all!!!!!!!!!

Barry's got it right...this was an amazing cruise! So far my wife and I have cruised Carnival, Princess, and Royal Caribbean, but now I must say that Crystal is my favorite. The level of service on this ship was absolutely fantastic. I have to agree with everything Barry said about the crew. Some others I would like to mention:

Greg our butler was fantastic. If anyone is considering whether the butler service is worth it, it definitely is! Expect tons of extra pampering because it will be coming your way. Greg was able to take care of anything we needed.

The production shows were outstanding! All the singers and dancers did a great job.

I thought the dining room food was consistently better than on other cruise lines (although those other lines are pretty good as well).

Next up for us is the Rhapsody of the Seas. It will be a bit different from this cruise, but we are ready to go!

You mentioned a shuttle provided for St Petersburg. Do you need a visa to go into the city without a tour, (i.e. alone) ?

Thanks, I'm on August 12th sailing.

you do need a visa to travel into st. petersburg ,outside of ships excursions.

crystal includes all the info you need to attain a visa in your documents and mine took exactly 30 days to get. i would pay the extra for a rush visa since you are there aug 12th.

the shuttle was great, it takes you to the center of town. it runs from 9 am till 5 pm, or did for our trip.

p.s. i didn't have a butler cause i was down on deck 8 with the regular

passengers. hahaha!!!!

Thanks for the info. It's getting late and since I'm traveling alone I will be better off taking an excursion. Just wanted to roam Nevsky Prospeckt (sp?)(been before), but looks like some tours allow for time there. Also checked the fee for visa and that seemed pretty steep- over $100.

BTW, I am in #7053, so no butler here either <G>. Have ordered a bottle for the cabin, which is a great service.

We must have been on the same cruise! My wife and I just returned from this as well! We spent some time traveling around, mostly in London, after the cruise but nothing compares to life on the ship. We first sailed on Crystal in 2002, and have been back five times since. The ships are absolutely gorgeous, the service is exceptional, and the itineraries are lovely.
