MrsTffx Posted September 26, 2006 #1 Share Posted September 26, 2006 Has anyone gone on an excursion to Bird Island and have taken a ferry over to Barbuda? I've read a lot since I thought we were going to Antigua before deciding on a cruise and the 2 places sounds really nice - any helps on this? seabum Posted November 18, 2006 #2 Share Posted November 18, 2006 I'll let you know in a couple of weeks - having recently been to Antigua and with most of the better water type tours contrated to the cruiseship - we've decided to take the ferry over to Barbuda for the day - hope to do some snorkeling off of the famous pink sand beaches and explore the caves a little. Sounds like the unspoiled tropical paradise of old. Unlike St Thomas - where there will be six ships in port the day we're there.
Laurie's Friend Posted November 21, 2006 #3 Share Posted November 21, 2006 Hey SeaBum Will really look forward to hearing about your trip to Barbuda. I thought it was too long to go there is you are just there for the day, from a cruise. We arrive at 0800 and leave at 6PM and are cruising Jan 9-06 on the Sun Princess. voltairel Posted November 26, 2006 #4 Share Posted November 26, 2006 I was on a snorkeling excursion at Bird Island just a couple weeks ago and it was really nice! We also took a hike up to the top of the island where we could enjoy a nice view of the islands around us.
