miami mama Posted September 27, 2006 #1 Share Posted September 27, 2006 What are the perks with the concierge class? Are they worth the expense of the smaller room on the Summit than just getting a mini-suite on Princess Diamond which is 50% larger?
lysolqn Posted September 27, 2006 #2 Share Posted September 27, 2006 You can check the Celebrity website for a list of amenities that set Concierge Class cabins apart from regular balcony cabins, or you can search this forum where the subject has come up many times. CC perks are a nice added touch which, IMHO are worth the extra $$. CC on Summit v. mini-suite on Diamond really depends on your priorities. If cabin size or being in a suite is important to you, go with Diamond - CC cabins are nice but they're not suites. If you want a more traditional, more formal cruise experience, go with Summit. If one itinerary is more attractive to you than the other, go with it. Princess offers a decent product, but I think the Celebrity product is superior (particularly with respect to food and service) and more upscale. I'm sure if you post your inquiry on the Princess board, you'll get the opposite opinion. Whichever you choose, enjoy your cruise!

jerseygirl3 Posted September 28, 2006 #5 Share Posted September 28, 2006 IMO, you are comparing apples to oranges. Two completely different cruiselines and two completely different cabin categories.
