DW and I are taking the same in Nov. Your kindness in posting the pics and commentary answered amny of our questions. Now, by following your progress I got the impression this 9-nt cruise went by quickly - I wonder how quickly the real thing will go! Thank you and all on this thread for a great virtual cruise. The Internet Wi-Fi connection was very fast (300-500kps)...Much faster than the Internet Cafe(25-46kps)

 

My Advice ? Take your laptop.....

I personally hope you will choose the Freedom of the Seas. By then they should have all of the little wrinkles ironed out and I know you will give us the best pictures yet of this magnificent new ship.:)

For dinner there is always the same meals that are served in the dining room, except Lobster. There was always some foreign specialties as well.

For lunch , there were normal Cruise Lunch entree's,. Most days included Mexican food as well.

 

I never had dinner in the Windjammer (on this cruise), but have had dinner in the Windjammer many times on Grandeur, Explorer, Jewel, Voyager.

 

The Solarium Cafe had hot dogs, cheesburgers, fruit and pizza.

Thought about you yesterday as we were going up 95 on our way to the Renaissance Festival. There on our left was the beautiful Grandeur in all her glory. It was a nice site to see, in person, after the last 9 days of your "virtual" tour.

 

I have one small question -- you said to take the laptop. How much is the daily rate to be able to go online.
