mjmagee Posted October 1, 2006 #2 Share Posted October 1, 2006 Dany, I called the Captain's Club customer service line about just this question. They said there is one formal, one informal and 3 casual nights but that they could not tell me which were which because "each ship sets it's own". But she did say it is usually the second night. Now on our cruise that would be Key West so I wonder if they would not do it the third night which would be a day at sea, which is what they usually try to shoot for. So the answer is, no one knows! Sorry! And as we are on the Nov. 13th sailing, and it is the first five day after Century gets back from Europe, we probably won't know till we board. Surprise! 4 cruisers Posted October 1, 2006 #3 Share Posted October 1, 2006 I think since mjmagee's cruise has the third night on a sea day, that will MOST likely be the formal night. Our 5 night cruise following hers is at sea the second night, hence that will be our formal night. It is amazing to me how Celebrity can't figure these things out! Cruise Critic seems to give us much more reliable info!
Andy Posted October 1, 2006 #4 Share Posted October 1, 2006 Hi Everyone ! While I cant say for sure, the logical guess for a 5 night sailing, would be the first Sea day. I will be on Century in November, and I will be sure to let you know. I will also try asking around, and see what I can find out.

ocngypz Posted October 2, 2006 #6 Share Posted October 2, 2006 Well, they do use the formal night as the "Welcome Aboard". Back in 2002 when ZN was sailing on 7 nighters out of Tampa, the second day was Key West. That was formal night. I'm on the first 5 night sailing. It'll be interesting. Andy Posted October 2, 2006 #7 Share Posted October 2, 2006 Andy, We barely miss you. We will be getting OFF on November 27th. We have a B2B on November 18 and 23. Hi Ed ! I am sorry to hear this. We are on Constellation on 11/20-11/27, then coming down to Miami on 11/27 to sail on Century. The Constellation sailing was planned a long time ago.... but we booked Century a few weeks ago. You know how much we enjoy Century, and we wanted to sail on her again this year. We also plan to sail on her again in Feb '07. Sorry we have missed you again. Hopefully, we will sail with you again in the near future !
