I know that Delta filed for Bankruptcy in September 05. Do you think there is risk booking a February 2007 flight on this airline? It's the cheapest flight available to me but I'm wondering if I may be out my $$ if the airline goes belly up.

That was exactly my concern last summer when I booked flights for our Med. cruise in May '06. Of course, things worked out beautifully. But I did buy travel insurance that covered the cost of the flights as well. If it were me, I'd go for it. But like everything else in life, it's a gamble!

We purchased flights for 6/07 on Delta and I didn't think twice. We just got the credit card bill and it says there's free flight insurance through Delta. As soon as I booked the air I called our travel insurance company and asked them to add the airfare cost to our trip insurance. It never hurts to be safe :)
