mjmagee Posted October 1, 2006 #1 Share Posted October 1, 2006 Anyone stayed here or know anything about it? On the river near the convention center in downtown Miami and I have been seeing rates on the discount sites anywhere from $70-90 which sounds ok. What is the hotel like and what is the area like? Need hotel for two nites pre-cruise and are driving into town so the cost of parking at the hotel is an issue too. Thanks. Marilyn

Its facing the bakcside of Downtown but it isn't far from the port. I would reccomend checking out the Radisson Downtown od the Holiday Inn which is a popular choice among viditors to Miami going on cruises. fishy1 Posted October 2, 2006 #3 Share Posted October 2, 2006 Hello there my boyfriend and I stayed here two years ago when it was the Clarion. It is an older hotel. Like said before it is right behind the Hyatt. If you can find somewhere else I would book that this isn't where I would want to stay right before a cruise. The room we had was not really clean, the hotel had an odor to it, and the elevator was broken the whole time so getting up to the 11th floor was a task. Hope this helps. lmondrop Posted October 2, 2006 #4 Share Posted October 2, 2006 You may also want to check the Courtyard by Marriot one block over from the Hyatt.
mjmagee Posted October 2, 2006 Author #5 Share Posted October 2, 2006 Thanks for your replies. The Holiday Inn Bayside was full and we are really operating within a budget, especially since it is 2 nights and we need parking. All a moot point now as we have won the Coral Gables Hotel on Priceline. Thanks again for your help. Marilyn
