Comments on my cruise wardrobe, please?

Could someone tell me if I've got the right idea with my cruising wardrobe? BTW, we're on a 4-day Bahamas cruise with Royal Caribbean, Oct. 16-20. Thanks!

Dining Room:

Capris, top, jacket (plane outfit - if I don't have luggage before dinner)

White capris, pink 3/4 sleeve sweater (if I have luggage)

White slides

Black cocktail dress and strappy sandals (formal night)

Brown capris with bead & sequin trim at hem

Brown sleeveless turtleneck

Brown slides

Black capris

Blue lacey tank

Black strappy sandals

For the ports:

Swimsuit/coverup

White shorts

Khaki shorts

Assorted sleeveless tops

Sandals or sneakers?

Disembarkation day (spending the day/night in Miami):

Capris, tank, jacket.

I know that wearing white while cruising is appropriate, but will it still be okay to wear while we are in Miami after we get off the ship?

I welcome any comments or suggestions - thanks!

Sandals or sneakers?

Your cruise wardrobe sounds perfect to me!

About sandals or sneakers, it's depends on the excursions, activities you plan on doing at each port. If you go for physic activities, wear the sneakers. If you just go for some low pace shopping close to the ship, comfy sandals will be perfect.

Advice for 'in port' footwear. my sister and i were doing the casual walk around and shop activity. i wore sneakers and she wore her usual sandals. It wasnt pretty. She had huge blisters and was in pain all week. She missed much of the activities because she hurt too bad to walk the ship. i felt so sorry for her, but i couldn't help.

You will walk much more than you think you will. Please wear sneakers.

I think this depends on the sandals. I walk a lot everywhere I go and never wear sneakers. I prefer a nice sandal or a pair of flat sandals for summer. I have never had a problem.

yes, i know what you mean. i wear sandals all summer too. these were my sister's everyday sandles that she always wears, but she really paid the price. i never wear sneakers at home, but something told me to forego the fashion and instead choose comfort.

if she had had just a small blister, it wouldn't be that big of a deal. but the entire ball of her foot was one big blister. it was very very sad. she couldn't go to clubs/casino with us because she couldn't walk/stand on her feet. (after the blister popped, it was worse).

we really walked and walked. maybe the OA only plans to sight see for an hour and in that case sandals may be ok. i'm just one to err on the side of caution if it has the possibility of interrupting my party time!!! :D

Ditto here. The only place I wear sneakers is in the gym or when I'm running.

Hi,:)

I have also worn sleeveless turtlenecks before.

I remember wearing one of one of my cruises...it was a

beautiful reddish color with gold flecks running throughout.

It was a silk blend, sort of close to the the body and looked

really nice under a black silk pants suit.

And I had a silver one...same style. So there are definitely

sleevless turtlenecks in the marketplace:)
