what ID number do I need?

Recommended Posts

I am assuming you mean an airline confirmation and not a cruise one?

If it is the airline one, then you just need to know what airline you are booked one.

Checkmytrip is amadeus, which is Continental or Delta, I believe and is only used by TA's that use that system. If they do not book using Amadeus then the number they give you wont work. Tell them you need the Amadeus confirmation not the airline one. They are different.

Easiest is to find out what airline they have you booked on and then go to that airline website and check your flights that way.

being USA, as the UK does stuff very differently than RCCL in the USA. I learned that their Diamond & Diamond Plus members get no pins, luggage tags, etc. SO everyone got them on a member cruise last May on Jewel.

My booking # is numberic with a few letters in there too. But I will send this note to a few UK folks from the member cruise to see if they can help.

Do you have a copy of the itinerary? Im a TA and used to book flights so am pretty good at locating the information. Tell them to email you the flight confirmation if they have not done so already.

Hi Kitty [was up your way in MK for Mr Robert Williams a few weeks ago - fantastic - but that is besides the point!]

I would not bother to use the checkmytrip site as another post says this is for the Amadeus booking system - if the RCL agent has booked the flight on the competing Sabre system they will have a Sabre reference number, that of course will not work on the Amadeus system.

Best bet is to go on the BA website - go to 'manage my booking' and try entering the 6 character code you have got from RCL and your surname - if this works then you will be able to check out your seat allocations etc.

If it doesn't work go back to RCL and ask for the 'BA PNR' - this will be the BA booking reference ID.

Good luck!

You do need an alpha numeric code to check in online for BA, I had this probelm last year and the travel agent kept giving me the wrong number. Do you have your tickets yet, I just waited until I had mine then went to the BA site and filled in all my info that they need and picked seats.
