FOS Family ocean view cabin?

Our family of 5 is currently booked in 2 rooms on our Freedom cruise in April.(balcony and inside across the hall)

I called tonight and a family ocean view has become available .

How comfortable will it be for the 5 of us in this cabin? It will save us $1100, but we will only have 1 bathroom.

I'd really appreciate your opinions on this!

My kids will be 17, 16 and 12.

I'd keep the 2 rooms--this is a vacation, after all--don't you want some privacy with your hubby? IMO, that alone is worth $1100!!!! And the 2nd bath--priceless! The bathrooms are so tiny, you can barely turn around. That means, only 1 person (even kids!) in there at a time! I know when my kids were teens, the LAST thing I wanted to do was be cooped up with them all the time!

You were willing to pay the extra prior to finding out about this other room--go ahead and keep what you have. It will be sooooooo worth it!

I'll be on the Freedom (room 9500-Family Ocean View) in just over three weeks with DH, son (11) and 2 daughters (7 & 5). Thus, I can certainly let you know (and will have lots of photos) when I return. I know that my kids are younger (and smaller) than yours, but would be happy to let you know what I learned when we get back.

An aft balcony cabin finally became available yesterday for my sailing, so we switched to that and the available inside across the hall for my kids.

 

cb at sea-thanks for the advice! Hubby and I alone on an aft balcony is definately worth $1100!

 

Lisa, I'd still love to hear about your experience in the family ocean view when you get back!
