Amsterdam - November 11th South America

We will be onboard the Amsterdam on the November 11th departure out of Rio de Janerio. This is our fourth cruise and our second on Holland America. Now that we are inside the four month and counting stage we will admit to the fact that we are getting excited. Looking forward to the cruise and meeting new people. If you are on this cruise drop a line, would be nice to meet on board for a bon voyage toast.

Hi -- We will be on the Nov. 11th cruise from Rio to Valpariso also. This will be our fourth cruise on HAL but have never been on the Amsterdam. Looking forward to meeting you and others on this cruise. The bon voyage toast sounds great. Our final payment comes up in another 6 weeks. Ugh! We have our flight to Rio booked. Arriving on the 10th. Don't have the hotel booked yet. Any ideas? Also, won't be long before we need to see about our visas. Hope to hear more from you soon.

Hi Jim & Irene:


Glad to hear from you. We leave here (Seattle) on 11/8 arriving in Rio on 11/9. We will be staying at Le Meridien which is right on Copacabana Beach. Our arrangements have been made by the travel company we booked through. They have been around a long time and seem to have their act together. So the hotel should be alright. The information I have is that they have just completed a $16 million renovation @ Le Meridien. We have our forms for the visas and will be sending those out in August, the info we have is not to send for them until we are 2-2.5 months away from departure. ?? We'll be getting our Yellow Fever shots at that time also. Keep in touch, hope this hotel info is of help.
