Can anyone give me a idea what we should do??? We are planning on going in Dec of 2007... Will have or 5 year old son and one year old girl... I was thinking on Disney 3 days then cruise??? But, then my mind tells me that a 7 day probably would be more fun and more relaxing... Boy, this is hard... I'm the Disney nut in the house. We both been to Disney 100 times and been on cruises... We just can't make up are minds..... any suggestions...

Thanks

Hello,

My opinion: If you can swing the 7 day, GO FOR IT!!!!!

There is so much more to do and plenty of time to relax too on the 7 day.

3 and 4 day are very nice, for what I call a weekend getaway and I would NEVER turne one down, but the 7 day is just so much better.

On 7 days you have time to do activities, relax, excursions, shows, movies, without worring about rushing to try to do as much as you can because your trip is almost over!!!!

We are going on 11/24/07 on the Magic, maybe you will decide to go in November instead of December, would love to have you with us!!

Plus if you figure it out, it really isnt that much more $$$ for a 7 over a shorter one.

since you have been to disneyland so many times I am assuming you live on the west coast, so if your coming all those miles, you may as well spend a week, to make it worth your time. I know if I had an all day flight, which it is from the west coast, then on the ship for 3 days and then another full day flying back, I would be pooped and need a vacation to recover from my vacation.

Good luck on your decision. But myself I vote for the 7 day!!!

HI. This is my first post. I just booked our first cruise too for (7 day) Nov. 24, 2007. I am planning to fly from San Diego to Orlando the day before the departure of the cruise. Can anyone suggest me the best way/ cheapest for ground transportation form airport to port canaveral for a family of 6. I wonder if there is charge for kids on taxi/shuttle? I am thinking of renting a car one way. What Hotel is closet to port canaveral? We will be staying the night so we can be fresh to explore the ship. My family consists of a then would be 10 years old boy, a 7 years old twin boys, and a 3 year old girl, and of course my husband and I. We are very excited to go..Can't wait. I'm looking/ researching/ figuring out the best way for ground transportaion between airport and port canaveral and finding the closet hotel to the port. Anyone please give me some suggestion. Thanks sooo very much in advance...Nursing Student

The closest hotel to the port is the Residence Inn. It just opened in April. We stayed there in August and it was top notch. Room even had a 2 burner cooktop, fridge and a dishwasher. It does not have a shuttle to the pier though.

We returned out rental car the morning of the cruise and they shuttled us free to the ship. We used Avis. Budget is a little closer and will also shuttle you to the ship.

The Radisson at the port is also very close to the port with a free shuttle.

Hope this helps.

The OP might not be from the west coast since they didn't mention Disneyland, just Disney, unless the post was edited after your reply.

WOW, this is awesome!!

Gina and Nursing Student, we are on the same cruise!!

I have a cruise meets thread on this site for our crusie but nobody has joined me so far.

Please post there and lets get aquainted. we can talk cruising and WDW and get to know each other, after all we will be spending a week together on the ship!!!

I have been 12 times and going next month for the 13th time on DCL.

Please join me!!

Oh, I agree with renting a car and driving to the hotel, use one with a shuttle to the airport. I beleive the Radisson also offers this service for it's guests.
