Tex805 Posted October 11, 2006 #1 Share Posted October 11, 2006 Has anyone else noticed? The 2007 prices are dramatically increased over those in 2006!
gumballz Posted October 11, 2006 #2 Share Posted October 11, 2006 Where are you seeing that? I haven't noticed that to be the case at all. I've even been looking at 2008 prices and they seem great. Maybe it's just the ships/itineraries I'm looking at though. I don't know.
Drew358 Posted October 12, 2006 #3 Share Posted October 12, 2006 I think it's based on availability of cabins. Certain websites will only show what cabins are still in inventory and if the lowest cabins are sold out, the price for the next lowest cabin will be displayed. This is probably the discrepency that you noticed in the prices.
SantaAna,CA Posted October 12, 2006 #4 Share Posted October 12, 2006 I know...I asked Seabourn about the pricing for the October 19-31, 2007 12-day Eastern Seaboard/Bermuda/etc. cruise, and for single occupancy, it came out to over $8,000, and that's run of ship. Eye Chee Wa Wa. Jane, if you could get over any potential separation anxiety from your diving equipment, I would reccomend taking a crossing. I suspect that the good SROS suites on the Legend's 2007 Nov. crossing are long gone; however, you may want to consider on or about March 30, 2007 having your TA book the Legend 2008 Nov. crossing. I must tell you that my TA and the TAs of other solo sailors will be trying to get those coveted 125% SROS bookings! If the 2008 crossing is 14 days and even if you only get a 150% SROS, the fare will probably be half what your Oct. 2007 eastern seaboard sailing would have cost. :D C'mon Jane join the Legendary Legend Crosser family and find out what it is really like to be pampered! You will never be the same after that and you will find out firsthand why I, and others, call this sailing a "family reunion." :)
SantaAna,CA Posted October 13, 2006 #6 Share Posted October 13, 2006 You are so right! I was looking at the pricing of the "crossing" and it's so much less. I'm sure it would be a lot of fun. Right at this point in time, it looks like my December Caribbean cruise might have to last me for awhile. That being said, hope to see you one day soon.
