I have not heard to many people doing that because its to far. I would really love to go to Ambergris. We are cruising on the Dawn in April. Any info. would be appreciated. nolaAlive Posted November 25, 2006 #9 Share Posted November 25, 2006 I went with the ship's tour and thought it was pretty good. I'd been to Caye Caukler before, but never Ambergris and I really liked San Pedro. Lots more to see and do there and lots of golf carts for rent. It is a long way off - think the ship tour is the only way I would do it unless I flew to San Pedro. There is at least one tour that does that, but I'd check the weather first. chefpammy Posted November 30, 2006 #11 Share Posted November 30, 2006 So, for those of you who went to Goff Caye, what is there to do? We're thinking of doing the snorkel excursion through the ship (the Grand in February) that stops at Goff for a little beach time. Is there food/drink for purchase? Lounge chairs? Just a quick question; how deep would you say the water was that you snorkeled in on that tour? Thanks!

Don't think there are chairs, or at least many. There is drink and I think snacks for sail, but I wasn't interested in so didn't really check out. Just a quick question; how deep would you say the water was that you snorkeled in on that tour? Thanks! I would guess 20-25ft up to 0. It is a barrier reef:
