checklady724 Posted October 14, 2006 #1 Share Posted October 14, 2006 This may not seem like something to worry about but... I book an OVG on up coming 10-29 on the Destiny out of San Juan and have been assigned a balcony cabin #6125. I thought this was great till I started to read the boards. Little or No A/C with a lot of upper deck cabins according to some posts I have read on these boards. My DH will be turning 60 on this cruise and the fear of not having A/C is a concern. My hope is that this will be fixed and no longer an issue. Anyone sailed lately on Deck 6 that can give me some insite will be most helpful. I am bringing a small fan just in case. caribbean dreams Posted October 14, 2006 #3 Share Posted October 14, 2006 If your A/C is not working proberly just ask the cabin steward for a fan. When i was on Destiny i had no problems with the A/C.
checklady724 Posted October 14, 2006 Author #4 Share Posted October 14, 2006 Thank you for your response, I am glad to hear that a fan was a good idea. No night sweats for me, lol. Also good to see no A/C problem. This will be my 5th cruise and hubby's 3rd. I have only had a problem with 1 ship ever. It was not a Carnival Ship. Did make the trip a bummer at sea. Thanks again for your input. Looking forward to the cruise with or without A/C working. I have heard that an extension cord is a good idea too, what are plugs like? 2 or 3 prong? DqALEX Posted October 14, 2006 #5 Share Posted October 14, 2006 Please do a review when you get back. There are only a hand full of CC members who are on ships to write a review, to keep us updated about the ships. I wish more who cruise could find there way here. virginiab Posted October 14, 2006 #7 Share Posted October 14, 2006 3-prong plug, but a standard household 2-prong plug should easily handle all the juice you need for a fan.
