12:00pm (noon) flight departure...too early?

We have just booked our first RCCL cruise and we were wondering if a 12:00 noon flight after the cruise is too soon? We will be flying back home after the cruise from Puerto Rico so we were wondering if it's worth it to forget the stress and just stay another night and get a hotel, and fly out first thing the next morning. I remember flying out of Jamaica an hour late and when we arrived at our connection in Charlotte, we had to run, claim our bags, go through Customs then go back up and check them again it was such a pain! I just don't want to go through it. In the past we have always had later flights or just stayed an extra night in the port city.

Noon should be fine but I wouldn't recommend anything sooner out of San Juan. We dawdled disembarking and got to the airport around 11:15. There was a huge wait for the 12-1 flights and a hour wait for security. Now we had a flight at 3 so we had late tags and didn't try to even get off early.(DH thought they were going to have to pry me out of my pool chair) . When we got to the airport though there was a long line for check-in and an hour wait for security. By the time we went to security at 2 there was only a wait of about 10 minutes.
