Rare Cruise Raider Posted October 15, 2006 #1 Share Posted October 15, 2006 Does anyone know about the rooms on the Infinity that appear to have replaced something called the 'Tower', 'Acupuncture' or 'Notes', depending on what website you are viewing. Celebrity seems to have replaced this area with rooms that are exactly midship, located under 'Words', which I assume is the library?? Even the Celebrity reservationist did not have the more up to date website available, as she told me that 'Accupuncture' was still located on deck 7 and the 'Tower' was on deck 6 in this same area. I did call back and got in touch with someone that inquired what was in the white space next to these rooms on the ship's schematic online. She found out this was the linen closet. Has anyone stayed in any of the rooms listed above and if so, were these noisy rooms. Also, the layout makes them look like larger rooms, is this the case? Do they have a sofabed or just a couch, or either. Nothing seems to be listed as I think they were recently added?? Does anyone know??
numbersix Posted October 16, 2006 #2 Share Posted October 16, 2006 Hi Raider: I was wondering the same thing....I asked X about the cabins looking larger on the deck plans on the site, but was told that they only "looked" larger, but were, in fact, standard size. I also asked on which cabin side the door was located, and was told that the inside cabins open to the Port side, which would open to the elevator bank. I then asked about possible noise from the elevators/elevator bank, and was told they've had no complaints, but they would say that, wouldn't they? I'm not sure, and would also be most interested to hear from people that have sailed in these cabins.

Hi, The once 2 deck high 'notes' music library has been replaced by a single deck acupuncture center and a single deck computer lab. I guess that now we all seem to have MP3 players there was little need for the library, and of course it made little money .... lol Ian :D
Rare Cruise Raider Posted October 17, 2006 Author #4 Share Posted October 17, 2006 Thanks Ian! funny.... Number 6 --- oh my gosh, you were reading my mind. I was told the same thing from Celebrity, however, nobody could tell me the square footage, but one of the reservationists mentioned that she thought the rooms were bigger. I think the Infinity deck plans are kind of true to scale, as friends are traveling on one of the rooms that appears to have a bigger balcony...lo and behold ...it does. They have seen it before. However, guess there is no real way of knowing. I was wondering the same thing about the where the doors open to....didn't get my question answered until reading your response. The elevators (friends that have been on this ship before informed me) are glass elevators down the sides of a vestibule that opens into the hallway. I was warned that the rooms on deck 6 might be a bit noisy as they are right above a public deck. I agree...they won't tell you honestly if a room is noisy or not. I think we opted for the one by the linen closet vs the one in front of the elevator or the one right by the stairs on deck 7. Wish us luck. We just disembarked from a ship with the noisiest room of all times. Back to the square footage...sure looks bigger on the schematic online. If three rooms fill the space of two suites...gotta be bigger...but that might be wishful thinking. If anyone has stayed in these rooms...I am checking your responses!! Would love to know....

reggierail Posted March 12, 2009 #6 Share Posted March 12, 2009 Still wondering if anyone had any more info on these cabins. Reggie
reggierail Posted June 9, 2009 #7 Share Posted June 9, 2009 I got a chance to view all of these cabins on my Alaska cruise. They are all larger than the standard inside cabins with 6905 and 7905 being the largest of the 6 cabins. They would definitely be the inside cabins that I would book if I booked an inside cabin. Reggie ;)

Thanks, CC
Rare Lois R Posted July 15, 2009 #9 Share Posted July 15, 2009 Did by chance you do a search on this topic? I remember a long time ago someone had one of these cabins although I can't recall who it was:(....I remember the topic because I had booked one of these and after reading the reply I changed my cabin. I think they did say the bathroom was smaller than the usual inside cabin (and I book insides ALOT).
