Verandah Rooms

Just got an upgrade from TA!! OMG, I'm so happy! We upgraded from the Upper (Midship) to the Verandah Deck (Midship). Wondering if there are any photos of 8C Cabins or testimonals. I was also wondering if there is a difference between the Balcony on the Upper to the Balcony on the Verandah? You really don't hear much about the Verandah deck, can't wait to hear some testimonals.

DON'T YOU JUST LOVE UPGRADES!!!

Got the same upgrade but wasn't all that excited because there is really no difference in the cabins or balconies, just a couple of decks higher. Best thing about it is I am only one flight of stairs down from the Lido food venues, lol.

We have been on Verandah all 3 of our cruises. I can quickly run up to Lido for coffee in the AM as I am an early riser. I love Verandah!

Next cruise, we are trying Riviera because we can get a bigger balcony- balcony is important to us for our "alone time". We love watching the sea!;) :)

I had Triumph and Miracle Verandah deck balconies.....cabins above and below...there's a difference about the two decks you mentioned. I just booked the forward upper deck on the Legend(extended Balcony, rooms look bigger, have the adjoining interior room for my boys, and no lifeboats when you look down BUT........located over the lounge:eek:.....don't know if we will hear anything)

Verandah is the best deck IMHO. I love the idea of being able to run up one flight of stairs in the morning for my coffee. We were in 8356 and it was just a short walk down the hall to the up stairs. Friends of mine were in 8440 on the Valor and they loved the location too. Rooms are basically the same and balcony is the same just a few decks higher. Have fun.:D

What an awesome birthday you're going to have!:) To me, a standard balcony is the same no matter what deck you're on.

Have a blast!!!

We were in 8270 on our last Victory cruise. I liked the location - just one deck up to the Lido deck, just three decks down to the Promenade deck. We were under Lido deck cabins, not the pool area; I have seen a few posts from folks whose cabins were under the pool area and were awakened by the crew setting up the deck chairs in the morning.

We were in 8247 on the Destiny (pretty much same deck plan as Victory). Our cabin was right under the tables by the main bar on the Lido Deck. Either I'm a good sleeper or you really can't hear between the decks. We never heard any chairs (though I have read of some people who did).

Love all the the posts. I was wondering if anyone stayed in Verandah 8315 it's right under the steps where people can get from one deck to another on the lido. I don't think there are chairs above us. Can't wait for more posts, I am so happy about the upgrade!!!

Are you talking about cabin 8315 on the Victory? Or maybe 8351? If so, it looks to me that it's about midship (8315) or a little toward aft (8351), with tables on the Lido deck along the windows above you. Not to worry however, you probably won't hear anything.

Are you sure you are on the Riviera deck? I have never seen balconies on that deck. I checked the deck plans for the Glory and there are only OV and IS on Riviera.
