Cat B5 or B6 Obstructed Balcony?

Clasina

Recommended Posts

These staterooms are "lifeboat view". Is the balcony still useable? When on the balcony, where's the lifeboat: overhead? in front? Can you see anything besides the lifeboat?

If you've had one of these rooms, how would you feel about having one again?

Thanks for the info!

Depends on your cabin number. Look at the deck plan and see if you are in between or in the middle of a lifeboat. I have chosen one that has a small maintenance boat in front of it so hopefully there won't be much obstruction. I found this picture on the internet.

We had a B6 category with obstructed balcony for our trip from L.A. to NYC. Would be worth the extra money to have an unobstructed balcony. Some of the crew are often crawling around those lifeboats and so you do not have a lot of privacy (which I discoverd at an embarassing moment). Also, no view while in port unless the lifeboat is lowered. Up to you.
