Hoyaheel Posted October 19, 2006 #1 Share Posted October 19, 2006 I finally bought my favorite 2 OPI colors so I don't have to search for them each time I get a pedicure. Which should I choose for my upcoming cruise?? Chick Flick Cherry? Or Thrill of Brazil? [both photos look a little lighter than the actual color seems to be, on my current monitor at least]
cruisin*tigger Posted October 19, 2006 #2 Share Posted October 19, 2006 I'm leaning towards Brazil - has a more hot pinky tone, more tropicalish. :D
CVL105 Posted October 19, 2006 #3 Share Posted October 19, 2006 2 votes for "Thrill of Brazil"... I love the hot pink/coral color! I get something very similar often!

cruznoobie Posted October 19, 2006 #7 Share Posted October 19, 2006 Love Thrill of Brazil.:) Now a question... I have pink & white nails, and usually french on my toes. But, like the OP, I have a stubbed purple big toe, so I'm wondering, can I have Thrill of Brazil on my toes & keep the pink & while fingernails? obnurse Posted October 19, 2006 #8 Share Posted October 19, 2006 Another vote for Brazil! I choose that color range a lot, too. Is there such a color that would look out of place on formal night? I have a hot pink that is pretty bright but I love it! I wanted to do both mani and pedi with the same color but don't want to choose something that would seem too casual. Hoyaheel Posted October 19, 2006 Author #11 Share Posted October 19, 2006 I very rarely get a manicure--I garden & cook and just abuse my hands too much to want to spend the money--however, I am of the opinion that a pedicure does not have to (and in fact I prefer that they not) match. So--if you want red red toes (or hot pink or whatever) and a french manicure, go for it! As I (think?) I mentioned, these are the 2 colors I have used all this spring & summer, and I think they match most things in my wardrobe (I'm not a "matchy-matchy" sort of person) and I think that either color will go with my formal dresses (one black, one apple red, one turquoise) but maybe this weekend I'll do "test" toes to make sure that the Thrill of Brazil does in fact match. Thanks for the input!
LBB Posted October 20, 2006 #12 Share Posted October 20, 2006 Make me #3....also have a black big toe (recurring soccer injury). For the half of year that this is usually a problem, I'll put a bright color on my toes (like Brazil) and do a french manicure on my fingernails. I try to bring the color on my toes and switch midweek on my fingernails if it starts coming off.

Brenda33 Posted October 20, 2006 #15 Share Posted October 20, 2006 Without a doubt, it is acceptable to have a french manicure on your hands and a color on your toes. Hot pink will be fine....even for formal night. Its vacation......:)
Happy ks Posted October 20, 2006 #16 Share Posted October 20, 2006 I like them both, I'd wear either. So, my vote would be to see which color goes with the majority of your cruise wardrobe.
