laodell Posted October 19, 2006 #1 Share Posted October 19, 2006 Has anyone ever taken a cooler on board and if so did you take a soft one? Did your cabin steward put ice in it? The last couple cruises we took we had a mini-fridge, so we're used to having cold beverages in our cabin.
virginiab Posted October 19, 2006 #2 Share Posted October 19, 2006 I always take a cooler (a 9-can size) even when there is a fridge. The one I use for cruiseing is soft sided and has a leakproof interior. I always test a new one by filling it with water and putting it in a dry sink or tub overnight. The room stewards have always been good about filling both the cooer and the ice bucker for me.
pholter Posted October 19, 2006 #3 Share Posted October 19, 2006 Absolutely! Pack a soft side or collapseable cooler and go into OSJ to get the drinks to fill it with once you arrive. The cabin stewards are great about keeping them filled with ice. I found the cooler was much better even when we had cabins with frig's in them...
