Question about booking excursions

My family is going to be on the Freedom in November. I booked most of our excursions online but one was "full". Does anyone know if RCCL holds some spaces back for passengers to book directly on the ship so we could try again there?

Any help would be appreciated.

That same thing happened to me today. I was trying to book a 2 tank dive in Cozumel for the family and it said - "Not available for number of people at this time - try again later or book when on board." So I called RC directly and the agent said they only allow about 25% booking on line - and save the rest for on board bookings.

I think I will go with an independent vendor now though because I do not want to risk being shut out of a dive opportunity in Cozumel - known for great drift diving.

The agent could not tell me how many they take totally on that excursion - so I did not know what my odds are on a ship that large.

Better luck on your excursions~
