mrdood Posted October 21, 2006 #2 Share Posted October 21, 2006 Trying to decide if I want to bring my laptop. Does anyone know if you can get WiFi in your cabin? Or do you have to take it to the areas where there are computers? Spirit does not have in cabin wi-fi, you also pay the same price as on board computers for access, and the speed is dismal... tbeecher Posted October 21, 2006 #3 Share Posted October 21, 2006 I was on the Spirit last April and got good coverage in an aft-wrap cabin. The speed isn't great but it worked. I made the mistake of signing up for service on a PC ib the cafe before I realized that I could get Wi-Fi. They are different systems so make sure you try the room first. MalGee64 Posted October 21, 2006 #4 Share Posted October 21, 2006 I got off the Spirit at the beginning of October, and the wi-fi in the cabin was fine. We were in 5962, and the speed and connectivity were no problem at all. I purchased the 100 minutes for $55 package, and it lasted me fine for 2-1/2 weeks - mind you, I wasn't online all day every day, just a little surfing and e-mail each day. Cheers! gail811 Posted October 21, 2006 #5 Share Posted October 21, 2006 Coverage was spotty in my aft-wrap around (8273), but I just went down the elevator to one of the lounges during the day and had no problem. Also sat on the Lido deck in the mornings with coffee with no problem.
