spammie Posted October 22, 2006 #1 Share Posted October 22, 2006 Hi. I am taking my 21 year old dd and 19 year old ds on the Mariner next May. Hubby is "now" thinking he might want to go. I figure my kids will sleep in the twin beds and my husband and I will sleep in the sofa bed. How uncomfortable are the sofa beds to sleep in? Also since Mariner is going into drydock before our cruise and getting the new bedding, will anything about the sofa beds be upgraded? Thanks for your opinions. Also we do not want to get two cabins as I know some of you will suggest.
cb at sea Posted October 22, 2006 #2 Share Posted October 22, 2006 With kids that age, I would get 2 cabins--where will you and hubby have any privacy on your vacation????? Even tho a JS is a nice size, it's really only good for 2 adults--I sure wouldn't want to spend a week crammed like sardines (especially full-grown sardines!) in a room with 1 bath and no privacy! Book a JS for you and an inside for the kids.
Jakie710 Posted October 22, 2006 #3 Share Posted October 22, 2006 My DS slept on the sofa bed and had no complaints -- of course he's young, but that hasn't stopped him from complaining about various sofa beds at hotels over the years. I guess he considers himself a little bit of an afficianado! The jr. suite is big enough for four -- there is a dividing curtain and walk in closet for privacy in changing and dressing. My $.02.
