We are leaving for our honeymoon on thursday (cruising Sunday) and are trying to figure out things to pack that you wouldn't normally think about. We would love any help that you can offer.:D

If you do a search for "packing list", you will come up with tons of threads with lists as long as your arm! :D

My advice: don't overpack! I tried to take all that stuff on the packing lists my first cruise, and I never used a lot of it. And, I took way too many shoes and clothes that I never wore.

Have a fun Honeymoon cruise! :)

Congratulations - I hope you have a wonderful trip.

Binoculars

Night Light - cabins can be very dark

Power Strip or outlet extender

Plenty of ones and fives for tipping porters, room service, taxis, etc. as well as buying things in port - exact change is best as they sometimes say they don't have change.

Chargers for camera batteries or extra batteries.

Downey Wrinkle Releaser

We are on the same cruise, why don't you come on over to the roll call and talk to some of the others on the same cruise. We are on the Empress deck (7), in an 8B aft.

Things you don't normally pack:

9' Extension cord

Multi-outlet strip

duct tape (several uses)

bonine (sea sickness medicine)

I never leave home without my power strip and my spray bottle.......Pack your formal stuff in dry cleaner bags so that they don't get ruined or wrinkled in transit (had a dress get snagged and ruined once :() I always overpack, but hey you just never know what kind of mood you will be in :) I also take extra wire hangers, there are never enough for us because we unpack everything and then we leave them behind. Good luck!

i was going to suggest the Uristat or Azostandard as well. no on wants to think about getting a bladder infection on a cruise or a honeymoon but it happens and it is not fun! some drs will give you a prescription for antibiotics just in case to take with you.

we brought a shoe organizer to hang over the bathroom door and it worked well for finding little spaces to put things.

i also brought a thermal mug and it came in handy!

have fun!

My honeymooning friends took their honeymoon champagne glasses with them and used it for their drinks - I thought it was so cute!

Like others have said...hangers, electrical outlet, lots and lots of $1 bills for tips and taxis. One thing we needed but never thought to pack was a lint roller.

Don't feel bad - I have problems with the shoe thing as well. You may want an alarm clock for the room, air freshener, post it notes (to leave notes for room steward and each other), your own shampoo/soap if you are picky, insulated mug. I always pack an empty duffle bag for dirty clothes - and zip lock bags in case you have wet things when its time to go home.

Happy Honeymoon.

We got the idea from Cruise Critic to take door decorations. Our group had three cabins side by side and it was so much easier to look for the Turkey door than read the numbers all the way down the hall. One of the other doors had a pumpkin and the other a cornicopia. Just some cheap decorations I picked up in the dollar store. It was also good for the kids, easier than reading numbers to pick out their room. There should be lots of good ideas for your honeymoon.
