Golden Princess

My husband and I are sailing on the Golden Princess transatlantic in November. We have been upgraded to a mini suite. Has anyone taken this cruise? I wondering about how "rocky" it may be going across the atlantic. Also....how comfortable are the beds on this ship.

Thanks for any help you can provide. :D

Hi cruzchickie, I can't answer your question, but may I invited you to go to the Roll Call for your Nov. 29th cruise. I am on that cruise and so far we have 39 CC members on the thread, There are experienced Golden TA cruisers that can maybe answer your question. I would hope you would like to join the rest of us and be a part of our "wonderful growing group" We will be having a get together on the trip that you might want to be a part of as well. Anyway, May I welcome you to come over and read the current pages or all of them. I will look for your handle. I have done a northern TA but not on the Golden. This will be our first time doing the southern route. Hope you enjoy your cruise.

HI cruzchickie,

We are also on the same T/A cruise and are also members of the rollcall. Here is a link to it to make it easy for you to join.

Also a question to you. Where did you get upgraded from??? We have a BA balcony on the Caribe deck and have been hoping for an upgrade to a mini also but no luck so far.

Have a great next cruise.

We were on the Golden last month on the Eastern Med cruise. We were in D708, a mini-suite with an exposed balcony. The stabilizers on the ship did a wonderful job, but there was still some movement. If you are subject to "mal de mere" get a patch and/or take the other remedies, because the Atlantic will no doubt be rougher than the Med. The beds were comfortable, but firm. If you are on the Dolphin Deck, please be advised that your balcony will be totally exposed to those above, as has been discussed, ad naseum elsewhere.

It's a great ship and you will have a wonderful cruise!
