Constellation - New England/Canada

We just returned from the 11 night cruise from Bayonne, NJ to Quebec City and return. This was our second trip on the Connie, we were on it four years ago in the Caribbean. Some thoughts about the cruise: The Constellation is in superb shape even after nearly five years of constant use. Our balcony stateroom was clean and new-looking. The staff Continues to be, for the most part, expert and friendly. Our Waiter and assistant, Razvan Popa and Jacquelee, were the best we have ever experienced on a cruise (we have been on 6). The casino slots were generous and the entertainment was first-rate. Now for a few complaints: Celebrity has joined the other lines in nickel and diming its customers. The wine tastings which had been free on previous cruises now costs $10 plus 15 percent. The corkage fee at $30 is outrageous, and some of the excursions were significantly overpriced. Our experience with the photographers was much less than satisfactory. The term "incompetent" comes to mind. Overall however, it was a wonderful cruise. The weather Gods smiled on us. It rained when we were at sea and was pleasant when we were in port. The guests were a much older crowd than we have usually seen on Celebrity, but then I'm not as young as I was when I started cruising either. There were many physically challenged folks and the staff on the ship and the tour people went out of their way to ensure they had a good time. This was our third Celebrity cruise (Mercury and twice on the Constellation) and we will be with them again. Right now we are looking at the Xpedition to the Galapagos next year.

tonyd285,

We were on Connie with you. It was a wonderful cruise. I couldn't agree more: the ship looked great, and the weather was perfect.

We did end up with some good pictures, and bought them. They were taken on the first formal night. One was funny, and it is really funny! We love it. But that was all we bought.

Glad you enjoyed your cruise.

Shay
