Godmothers

Normandie

Recommended Posts

I am curious to know which notable ladies are Godmothers to Carnival ships. I am especially eager to know who is the Godmother for Paradise.

Liberty - Mira Sorvino

Imagination - Bob Dickinson's wife (can't remember her name)

Want something worthy of discussion? Rosie O'Donald is to be the Godmother of the new NCL Pearl!

 Nothing less would be expected from NCL.

Quote from mrdood: "Not near as embarassing as using Martha Stewart - good work RCI!"

Oh goody! A political thread!

This is a great way to get a thread pulled. Let's keep the political thoughts out of it, ok? Yes, I object to one of the above, but I will not say who. The op simply wanted to know who, not personal opinions of the who...

Huh? I don't get it, I guess....

You aren't the only one! LOL! Martha Stewart is a politician now??? LOL!!!! Personally, I agree... I like Martha Stewart, but Godmother??? I really don't get what makes them decide on some of these Godmothers... okay, a gardening/cooking person, a super model?? Don't care for Rosie, but she is an activist, so I guess they thought they were doing the right thing there... but some of the others, I really don't get it.

If it is your intent to control the content of each thread to EXACTLY and ONLY the information specifically outlined by each OP, then you should be commenting in every thread, very few meet your strictness.

There is nothing in the guidelines prohibiting my opinion as to the worthiness of a ship godmother, you might want to check the guidelines out before you start playing "host"

From Cruise Critic News, here are a few more....

October 24, 2006pixel.gifCarnival Names Kathy Ireland As Freedom's Godmotherkathyirelandnews.jpgCarnival, whose approach to designating ships' godmothers is eccentric to say the least, says that Kathy Ireland, the one-time supermodel and current "best friend to working mothers" will handle the inaugural duties on Carnival Freedom. That ship will launch in March 2007.

Ireland will follow in the footsteps of godmothers of Carnival ships such as Dr. Sally Ride, the astronaut (Carnival Glory), legendary British thespian Dame Judi Dench (Carnival Legend), and actress Mira Corvine (Carnival Liberty).

She looks a little hot. She should probably change into something more revealin.... comfortable.

(Rosie, if you are reading this, please ignore the suggestion as it applies solely to Ms. Ireland)

LOL. You mean something a little more ALS or WWish? :D

Let's hope so...just the thought of Rosie (clothed) makes me ill.

Actually, choosing a convicted criminal is pretty funny it and of itself :D

I wonder if Kathy Ireland would consider a special ceremony to dedicate the funnel deck on the Freedom:confused:

I like the way you think. :D:D
