Ridley Posted November 2, 2006 #1 Share Posted November 2, 2006 Can anyone comment on how easy (or difficult) it is to get a dining table for two confirmed prior to final payment on Carnival cruises? Once on board how difficult is it to get a table for two reserved for the remainder of the cruise?

Dining arrangements are made on board just before the next cruise, there is no way you can get it confirmed prior to final payment. You need to make sure that your request is in your booking, then you will not receive your dining assignment until you check-in. You will have to go to the dining room and validate what you have, if it is not to your liking there will be a published time to see the Matire'D for changes - unless you are a Platinum cruiser (10 cruises on Carnival) nothing can be guaranteed. You request it by meeting the Matrdee the afternoon that you sail...... enester
Earthworm Jim Posted November 3, 2006 #4 Share Posted November 3, 2006 On Miracle we were there when the doors to the dining room opened (I think it was 1:00) to check your seating assignment, asked the Maitre' d if we could have a table for two. He didn't bat an eye and made the switch. It can't always be that easy I guess, but I suspect if you show up right away for the seating changes my guess is you probably have a good chance of getting the table for two you want. aceinnw Posted November 3, 2006 #5 Share Posted November 3, 2006 On the Spirit just showed up at the dining room (it was posted when in the Capers in your room) the first day and asked. No problem switched us right away. No tip.... just a friendly request.
