cruisinelsewhere Posted November 2, 2006 #1 Share Posted November 2, 2006 It has been a number of years since we docked in St. Thomas for a cruise. One of our favorite trips was on the Wild Thing (High speed cat that circumnavigated the island with a stop for swimming at Maegen's Bay). We are going to be in STT this December and it seems that this boat is no longer around....is there any other fun tour that circumnavigates the island? While I am at it....seems we will be docking at Crown Bay which I am not familiar with..is access stull relatively easy to downtown or Maegen's Bay on our own? Thanks! The Islander Posted November 3, 2006 #2 Share Posted November 3, 2006 Hello, From Crown Bay to downtown its about an 8-10 minute drive; so yes its still relatively easy to get there. And Magens Bay, you just need to take a taxi and its about a 20 minute drive. --Islander http://www.*****
frugal one Posted November 5, 2006 #3 Share Posted November 5, 2006 I'm thinking I saw the "wild thing" in doing my research for St Martin. It's a yellow boat that goes really fast pumping out loud music on multiple Bose speakers and can turn on a dime. The boat had big teeth.
