CruiserRev Posted November 3, 2006 #1 Share Posted November 3, 2006 I know this is a bit similar to another post about formal nights. Mine is more food-specific. Does anyone know the order of meals for the 11-night Southern Carribean on Maasdam, out of Norfolk? We're on next Wednesday's cruise, and do plan on dining in the Pinnacle grill one night. More so than time of our reservation or dress code for the night, we don't want to miss out on a dining room meal that is exceptional. If they're all exceptional, which would be great, is there one that is less exceptional than others?
mrsbunder Posted November 4, 2006 #2 Share Posted November 4, 2006 I was just about to post the same question, I'll be on the 12/2 E. Carribean sailing of the Zuiderdam, and was wondering if anyone knew the breakdown of the week's dining room menus, so I can plan ahead for using my PG reservation. We disembarked from this cruise on the 28th and had dinner in the Pinnacle Grill on day 10 which was the last formal night and also the Baked Alaska night. We were seated at the back of the Grill so could see the waiters carrying in the flaming desserts. Don't miss the Signature Master Chefs Dinner which was on day 5 of our cruise. I thought it was lots of fun. Also, this was the first cruise that I thought the food at the Lido buffet was just as good as the dining room and don't miss the ice cream ... different flavors every day and just delicious. CruiserRev Posted November 6, 2006 Author #6 Share Posted November 6, 2006 Thanks for the tips.....I had acquired recent menus for a recent 10-night voyage, so we do have some clues. Did they have the Dutch night, and if so, how memorable was that food? I know we're going to be happy either place, but would hate to miss something really special. sharbin1 Posted November 6, 2006 #7 Share Posted November 6, 2006 They did have a Dutch night and I had a noodle type dish that I didn't care for.. also I didn't like the venison dish. The Chocolate Bombe was my favorite dessert... other than the Bread & Butter pudding at the Lido!
Pita817 Posted November 6, 2006 #8 Share Posted November 6, 2006 A quick question Sharbin 1 - Was Riza Harsyahdu the Maitre D'Hotel on the Maasdam during your cruise?
