jedijood Posted November 6, 2006 #1 Share Posted November 6, 2006 I'm cruising out on the 12th and checked the cruise calendar. It seems there are 7 ships docked in that day. Seems like the Grandeur is the only one calling it as a port of call. The others are unloading and loading for the new sailings. Carnival Victory Carnival Valor Crystal Symphony Explorer Of The Seas Grandeur Of The Seas Freedom Of The Seas Norwegian Jewel I assume this will be a busy day at the terminal. Anyone experience this many ships at one time at the Port of Miami. I've sailed before from port of miami and at most saw 4 ships docked. What kind of delays should I expect (car line entering the port, registration lines and departure delays?)

mbisson Posted November 6, 2006 #5 Share Posted November 6, 2006 I've only sailed out of Miami twice (NCL each time) & both times there were 6 ships. No real problems getting in & out of the port. As far as delays boarding & such, there were at least 3 primary boarding areas at the port. Carnival had a building, RCCL had a building and NCL had a building, so it isn't nearly as congested as it would be if all cruise ships boarded out of one area. It should be fine. Even though there are 7 ships that day, expect the Jewel (I'm assuming your trip is on the Jewel since you posted to this board) to be the only one boarding out of one building (boarding area). -Monte
