Taryn and Sarah Posted November 8, 2006 #2 Share Posted November 8, 2006 I would say it is up to you. Just as long as you're not going to mind wearing the same dress in all of your pictures :) Is there anything you can do to make the same dress look different? A shawl, different jewelery, etc.
beachpeach1 Posted November 8, 2006 #3 Share Posted November 8, 2006 I have worn the same "little black dress" on both formal nights, and just change the jewelry. I don't think the fashion police are out to see if there are repeat dressers! Plus the less you pack in, the more room you have to cart home souvenirs of the cruise!! My husband also wore the same suit both nights (no tux) and simply changed ties.
mii Posted November 8, 2006 #4 Share Posted November 8, 2006 Believe me when there are two formal nites I certainly do wear the same thing. Formal nights are usually on the 2nd and the 8th nites on a 10 day cruise. No one will remember what I wore. Now once in awhile I wear a fancy pair of black pants and bring two tops. Otherwise the same thing both nites. Marilyn
Genessa Posted November 8, 2006 #5 Share Posted November 8, 2006 I've been wearing the same dress on both formal nights for my last few cruises. I realized that I have 4 different "little black cocktail dresses" and sometimes I even forget which one I wore when. I wear them with different jewelry and a different shawl or wrap and maybe the only people who can tell are the ones at the same table with me. DH wears one suit, but two different shirts and ties. on board Posted November 8, 2006 #7 Share Posted November 8, 2006 There is nothing wrong with wearing the same dress! And I don't think anyone will care or remember! Some people put a lot of money into their clothing and some do not! I do because I love clothes but honestly all of my evening dresses just hang in the closet until we cruise! Waste of money is what my opinion is on it! I have 14 evening dresses that I have bought in the past 3 years, I have worn them at least one time but not over twice each! Soon they will be out of style. My DH took 2 dress jackets, 3 pair of dress pants and 3 dress shirts and 2 ties on our 9 day cruise. We are going on an 11 day cruise in Jan. and that is what he is taking again! He worn nice blue jeans and casual shirts the other nights that were not formal! Some men even had on dress shorts so really I don't think you need to worry yourself at all about any kind of dress other than Formal nights! :p Have a wonderful cruise
Spender Nui Posted November 8, 2006 #8 Share Posted November 8, 2006 If you do you'll be the only one who will know it.
Pam in CA Posted November 8, 2006 #9 Share Posted November 8, 2006 Many of my cruises are longer and have 3 or 4 formal nights. I bring 2 dresses and 3 different dressy shawls so that I can change the look of the dresses. The shawls are light and easy to pack. I also bring jewelry to change the look each formal night. For 7-day cruises, I bring one long black dress and two shawls.
