tocruzagain Posted November 8, 2006 #1 Share Posted November 8, 2006 We will be on the Glory (1st time on this ship) the week of the 25th and I have some questions. How warm should it be heading towards St. Thomas and St. Martin the end of November? Will the evening be a little on the cool side after dark up on deck..how about the public areas onboard? The last time we cruised it was the end of October, and it was very warm still so I am wondering what to expect being the end of Nov.
jleq Posted November 8, 2006 #2 Share Posted November 8, 2006 Your daytime highs should still be around 80. Temps will probably drop about 15 degrees at night. Public Rooms often on the cool side. You might want to consider a light sweater
cruisinbuddy Posted November 8, 2006 #3 Share Posted November 8, 2006 Jackets, shawls & sweaters, whatever your cruise wardrobe will allow. Or just keep taking DHs jacket:D

I will be sure NOT to miss watching sailaway from St. Thomas at night since we will have an aft balcony cabin! The view should be fantastic!! How long did it take to get through immigration in St. Thomas? We've got a 10am tour pick up time with Sunny Liston and don't want to miss him. Our cruise was the first that they used an automated system. They called us by decks, and we went down to the level where the bars are, and walked to the back of the ship in line, and then showed our birth certificate, and id, and then slid our sail and sign card. They said our time was half of what the week before had been. You will not have any trouble getting to your tour.

tocruzagain Posted November 12, 2006 Author #10 Share Posted November 12, 2006 Thanks for the info regarding debarkation in St. Thomas. Hopefully, the use of an automated system will help things to run a little more smoothly and consistently than what I've read on here over the past months. I am soooooooo excited about our first balcony being an aft just for the sailaway views as we are pulling away from port! I have also read many posts about Sunny Liston's singing on his tour...can't wait! It sounds like we should have lots of fun with him. We will be touring with Bernard on St. Martin and so far the posts have been positive about him as well. We are down to 11 days until we leave town...13 days till we board the Glory!! dbrucern Posted November 12, 2006 #11 Share Posted November 12, 2006 Have a wonderful trip, as you can see we have taken the same cruise a few times and had such a wonderful time that we are taking kids and grandkids for Christmas. We cruised last year at this time, weather and beaches wonderful. Going thru immigration was a breeze for my husband but I am not an american so I had to do my own thing in a different part of the ship but still was out in no time to meet up with DH.
