DrWally Posted November 11, 2006 #1 Share Posted November 11, 2006 OK, we are on the after thanksgiving sailing on the NCL Jewel. Is there a Lobster Night...??? There have been on all the other NCL ships/cruises we were on, but I haven't heard a whole lot of positives about the menu selection in the Main dining rooms. FYI - Last cruise on the Sun, our excellent waiter from Jamacia (find a good server and request their station), brought me a plate of no less than 6 lobster tails on my first plate on lobster night. I forewarned him of my impending destruction on their supply the first night at his table. I never said a word about it after and, 3 days later, on Lobster Night I was shocked with his presentation of my feast. After finishing that plate he actually (no lie here folks) brought me another 6 tails. Of course, being strong (ok .. the ICE cold stare from my g/f) I sent them back to be enjoyed by another person/table :-)...
electricron Posted November 11, 2006 #2 Share Posted November 11, 2006 Yes, you'll see lobster tails served on every NCL ship on "Optional Formal Night". It usually occurs on the evening of the first "At Sea" day. On the Jewel, you could eat lobster every night, or until they run of lobster, at one of the Speciality Restaurants. Unless this has changed with the introduction of the new menus...lobster tails are still served on optional formal night. Our last cruise was Sept., '06 and the lobster tails were still being served on formal night on the Dawn. You will love the Jewel, have a wonderful cruise:)
