lv2travel Posted November 12, 2006 #1 Share Posted November 12, 2006 Please tell me your experiences regarding staying in an aft oceanview cabin on the Elation. Is there a lot of vibration etc.
Mt Lassen Posted November 13, 2006 #2 Share Posted November 13, 2006 We just returned from the Paradise on Friday. I believe it is the same class ship. Our aft cabin (Empress deck E255) had some vibration, but not constantly. The vibration seemed to occur when the ship was moving slowly. We did, however, have loud noise from a generator on the deck above us. This only happened one time for about 15 minutes.
stanimal Posted November 13, 2006 #3 Share Posted November 13, 2006 You'll notice less vibration on the Elation due to the Azipoods that are used for propulsion rather than the screw and shaft that are used on most of the other cruise ships. Frequent Floater Posted November 13, 2006 #4 Share Posted November 13, 2006 Yes you will feel the vibration more so when porting than while at sea. The windows also have these "blinders" on the side so you really only see straight out and not so much sides.
zqvol Posted November 14, 2006 #5 Share Posted November 14, 2006 IMHO the whole rear end of Elation vibrated the entire cruise when I was on board in May.
