macusa19 Posted November 13, 2006 #1 Share Posted November 13, 2006 I'll be taking my 2nd cruise Dec 16-21 on the Ecstasy with my 2 younger sisters. I haven't sailed in 2 years (went on Elation Dec 2004), so I've been reading up on this website as I don't remember much and it was SO helpful the first time around. I do have a few questions though and I'm hoping to get some help... -Does the Ecstasy have hair dryers? I can't recall if the last ship did. -Our cabin is on the Riviera deck, for 3 pax, and it states that there's 2 "uppers"... I'm imagining something like bunk beds, could someone fill me on what to expect regarding the beds? -I'll be driving to and parking at the pier. I would like to park somewhere they shuttle both us and our luggage to the pier from the lot. Is there any lots around that does so? -We are taking the 5 day cruise, going to Cozumel and Progresso, departing on a Saturday. There should only be one formal night if I understand, would that take place on the first sea day (Sunday)? That's it for now, but I'm sure I'll have a few others within the next month. Thanks to you all in advance!!!
tkportersat Posted November 13, 2006 #2 Share Posted November 13, 2006 -Does the Ecstasy have hair dryers? I can't recall if the last ship did. Nope, no hair dryers.... -Our cabin is on the Riviera deck, for 3 pax, and it states that there's 2 "uppers"... I'm imagining something like bunk beds, could someone fill me on what to expect regarding the beds? They are bunk beds that fold down from the walls, during the day your steward will put them up if you wish and then pull them down and make them up at night. -I'll be driving to and parking at the pier. Is there any lots around that does so? go to ezcruiseparking.com, used them 3 times and it has been great. Cheaper than the other places as well. -We are taking the 5 day cruise, going to Cozumel and Progresso, departing on a Saturday. Cruisetex Posted November 13, 2006 #3 Share Posted November 13, 2006 We went in May on the Ecstasy. There was not a hair dryer in an oceanview room on the Empress Deck . The Formal night was on the first sea day. We Stayed at a hotel the night before and had a free shuttle so cannot help with the parking. Have a Great time by the way, you will love it!!!:)
AKB10 Posted November 14, 2006 #4 Share Posted November 14, 2006 We cruised last week. Also stayed on the reveria deck - no hairdryer. We parked at lighthouse parking - they took us and our luggage to the pier. Cost was $40 for the 5 night cruise - I believe you could get discount on line at their web site. We didn't print off the coupon before leaving - so we missed out on the discount.
cfellers Posted November 14, 2006 #5 Share Posted November 14, 2006 Just got off the Ecstasy on Nov. 9th. Neither one of the girls brought hair dryers assuming they would have them in the rooms. A quick call to our room steward Ben and he brought a hair dryer for each of them, no charge. I reserved a parking space online with EZCruise parking and saved $5.00. Great group of people to use since most of them are firemen working part-time at EZCruise. The formal night was on Sunday night.
