Olive Posted November 16, 2006 #1 Share Posted November 16, 2006 I have requested a table for 2 for my upcoming cruise on Westerdam. Last time on HAL was with a large group (we took up two tables in the dining room on Zaandam). Have people who requested tables for 2 generally been accommodated? On Celebrity I am used to getting to ship as early as possible to check in with the maitre' d (sp?) to check on dining room accommodations when I request a table for 2. Is this recommended on HAL, too? Thanks in advance!

Krazy Kruizers Posted November 16, 2006 #3 Share Posted November 16, 2006 Have always a requested a table for 2 - even on the 3 Vista class ships that we have sailed on. Have never been refused. When you get your folder once you have checked in, look inside -- your table and dining time will be listed on it. Once you have gotten on the ship, go to the dining room -- there is usually a chart there showing the layout of the dining room with table numbers. If you have any problems, check your daily program when you get to ypur cabin as to when and where you can meet with the maitre'd concerning your table assignment. jtl513 Posted November 16, 2006 #4 Share Posted November 16, 2006 We're 2-for-2 on tables for 2 on Vistas. :)
Olive Posted November 17, 2006 Author #5 Share Posted November 17, 2006 These seem like good signs for us. We are flying in the day before, and were hoping to grab a nice brunch before boarding rather than rush to the cruise terminal to wait. It's nice to know that we don't have to rush because of dining assignments! Thanks, and I'll take lots of photos onboard!
mydogs Posted November 19, 2006 #6 Share Posted November 19, 2006 Just returned today from the Westerdam. Had a very nice table for two #303, Main seating. Zen was an excellent server and his captain Alec always pleasant and helpful. There were several unoccupied 2 tables, so should not be a problem getting one. Have agreat cruise !!!!!!!!!!:o :o :o
