Cruise-Crazy Posted November 16, 2006 #4 Share Posted November 16, 2006 I booked Monday an I allowed to get todays discount? Doing the Freedom in October? Anytime you see a lower price they will lower what you paid but you have to call, it's not automatic.
Brenda33 Posted November 16, 2006 #5 Share Posted November 16, 2006 I have heard that today is $100 off per person.....is this $100 off the price on the website or is that the price already?.....it hasn't changed today.

I don't believe it is $100 off... I think it is UP TO $100 off, on select sailings, select staterooms, etc. Now, since there was a past guest preview yesterday, I would guess people today will find alot of the "sale" prices sold out (seems to happen every time) Just call whoever you are planning to book with and find out the price. victory2020 Posted November 16, 2006 #7 Share Posted November 16, 2006 I booked a cruise for next Dec - same price but got best available upgrade that I wasn't able to book before yesterday.
rwillis9 Posted November 16, 2006 #8 Share Posted November 16, 2006 I was thinking about calling as well. I booked a OV Guarantee with a PVP last week on the Celebration for 4/2/07. I will probably just leave it alone though, because we paid the OV rate and got bumped to a 6D Oceanview free of charge for the past guest priveladge thing. Saved around 200-300 or so. After talking to my PVP, it's $100 off the select 7 day sailings with best available upgrade. On some sailings the $100 off is the same as the guarantee rate and on others it's less. I think this sale is the best one so far! If I can get people to decide on something, I will book my next cruise today! Good luck to all!

The resident promo could be a better deal vs. the sale. Call your PVP/TA and ask which one will work in your benefit. If the sale is a better deal, you could get upgraded to a high deck. Call your PVP/TA and ask which one will work in your benefit. If the sale is a better deal, you could get upgraded to a high deck. Thanks for the advice....I called and found out that the 1 day sale price for the 8B balcony we're in is $919US before taxes. The rate we're currently booked at via the Cdn Resident Promo is $849US before taxes. I think we'll leave the current reservation intact !! Advice to any Canadians out there......if you are booked on a Carnival cruise, have your TA call and inquire about the Cdn Resident Rate promo...it's a heck of a deal.....but not combinable with other promos...we gave up $100US per cabin OBC and paid an additional $44CDN to move from an obstructed view outside to an unobstructed balcony. Even if we didn't make the upgrade, we'd have saved $400CDN by taking the Cdn Res Promo price !!! It's worth a phone call. Ciao.
Brenda33 Posted November 16, 2006 #13 Share Posted November 16, 2006 I went ahead and booked my cruise today for August 15th on the Miracle. The way the one day sale worked for me was that I got the lowest price advertised for an inside cabin and I was upgraded to the Main Deck outside cabin with a partially obstructed view.......good deal I think.
