tbelian Posted November 17, 2006 #2 Share Posted November 17, 2006 Have you tried issuing a 'PING' command? From a 'DOS' prompt c:\ping boards.cruisecritic.com -or- c:\ping www.cruisecritic.com The IP address should be returned. Be advised, it might not be the address needed for your firewall rule. And in some cases, the firewall will block the ping command (from where I sit at the moment, pings outside the intranet (internal network) are blocked. It's worth a shot. Rich&Natalia Posted November 17, 2006 #5 Share Posted November 17, 2006 LOL. Hi Rick. I work on networks so I'm forced to learn a little bit about IP addresses. I'm about to go sign up for the M&M for our cruise. I think we'll be hitting the magic number today.:) -Rich
chessbriar Posted November 17, 2006 #6 Share Posted November 17, 2006 Do you believe that? Here we are just under a year and we already have enough for the M&M. Where will you be a year from now?
Rich&Natalia Posted November 17, 2006 #7 Share Posted November 17, 2006 I know. Kinda crazy. I don't know if that's normal on RCCL boards or if it's just that cruise (I should keep quiet before I get kicked out of here and permanently banished to the Royal Caribbean board.) November 17th, 2007 at 11:44am, I'll be sitting on a beach on Barbados with a pina colada in my hand. How about you? The same?:) -Rich

Johncn Posted November 18, 2006 #9 Share Posted November 18, 2006 Hello, There are two IPs...one is for the cruisecritic.com website, and one is for this forum. Both are owned by Independent Traveler (Kathleen Tucker of Penington, NJ), and are hosted by RackSpace. Although the board servers are physically located in Alexandria, Virginia, the main website it located in Peterborough, NH. The IP address for the Forum is unlikely to fool your filter, unless it is a really pitiful filter ;) Here you go: Cruise Critic Forum 64.49.199.36 CruiseCritic.com Website 66.216.125.235 Hope this helps, JTC
