Thanks Kim Hi, I sailed on the Legend for a short 2 night cruise last month and my husband and I loved the Legend. We found the food and service to be excellent. The ship was also very clean. They were always cleaning.....sweeping, mopping, scrubbing. The only thing that I saw that wasn't that clean were some of the carpets in the hallways but other than that everything was great. You can read my review of it at this link: http://www.cruisecritic.com/memberreviews/memberreview.cfm?EntryID=22257 I think you will really enjoy the Legend. We are booked on the Miracle for next June which is her sister ship. Have fun on your cruise. :D

TexmanAl Posted November 17, 2006 #4 Share Posted November 17, 2006 Went on the Legend in January to Barbados, Martinique and St Maarten and found it to be as good as could be. It was a 7 day cruise, nice ship, good service. Wished we had stayed in ports a little longer but when you have that many miles to cover time is limited. I think you will enjoy the cruise. Never in all Carnival cruises have we ever had bad staff. If you can try to get somewhere near midship on whatever deck you are on. Ride is a little better. Have a great trip

AmberTeka Posted November 18, 2006 #7 Share Posted November 18, 2006 We just got back from the Legend. It was a fantastic 8 days. I will write a long review later but for now I will say: 1. The food is good. Very good. they have alternative choices on their dinner menu and one is an excellent hamburger with fries. Yea! they also offer steak, potato, steamed veggies (very good) for those who crave plainer food. The Neptune Dinner--get that. Fish and shrimps. The Sweet and Sour Shrimps. Get that. Go to lunch in the Dining room. They have Italian food that is divine. WHY don't they put those on the dinner menu? When they have Italian it is Veal and I don't eat veal. Breakfast--go to the fellow fixing omelets--ask for a three egg omelet and the real eggs come out. Delcious. Sweet fellow and an excellent cook. We had a great staff at dinner. Our cabin was always clean. We played Trivia--NOT ENOUGH TRIVIA. NO SPORTS TRIVIA. Had fun. We were in the Casino. We won. Enough said. Had fun. We did not catch any shows--not that we did not want too--but too busy. I promise. Shore Tours--Winners all. St. Marten--Butterfly Farm. The lady is passionate about those butterflies. That makes you care. And they are beautiful. Barbados(sp)---we saw a sunset that you only see in picture books. What a lovely island. Martinque. the island I could live on forever. If anyone mentions Independence---the residents of Martinque should slap that politican silly. France must lavish billions on that French terrority. Out in the country--the roads are good. the farmhouses are neat and tidy. Little plump dogs are to be seen. It looks like a well loved, well tended island. I never dreamed Martinque would be so lovely. But it is. Just lovely and every small farm has a garden. They grow sugar cane, citrus fruit, avacodos---they are industrious as well as super clean. Didn't swim. Didn't sun. Shopping for duty free stuff was best in Martinque. VO -Seagram's was $8 a big bottle. I don't drink but I did buy some Guerlain Perfume for $20. Check the clearance Perfume Shelf. WOW!!! Shopping on the ship was nice. The ship was clean. Creams became a daily stop for me. I loved the coffee and the cookies. I did have to visit the infirmary several times. The rates were more than reasonable. the doctor was Aussie --the nurses English. They have a real little hospital down there and the care is excellent. I was super impressed. And my illness was a terrible reaction to a new thing--not anything contagious on the ship. No one seemed sick except a lady who took sea sick pills and turned purple. I kid you not. And she was NOT even sea sick. More in the review. Great ship. Great time. Wish I was sailing for Martinque right now.
