Checkmate1955 Posted November 17, 2006 #2 Share Posted November 17, 2006 I would think a cab... the dock is close to Wakiki .. the north side of Wakiki and near a large shopping center plus shopping at the area at the pier.... :)
Deb in Cali Posted November 17, 2006 #3 Share Posted November 17, 2006 I concur with the cab idea. It will cost you around $20, depending on traffic.
Captain Canuck Posted November 18, 2006 #4 Share Posted November 18, 2006 cab is likely the most logical..the best is being carried there by all the Victoria Secret models
bubiesmom Posted November 27, 2006 #5 Share Posted November 27, 2006 Since it looks like most hotels are on the main route in Waikiki, is there a bus that you could take to the pier? I wouldn't mind taking luggage on a bus if you could see the sites on the way. It would be less expensive than a cab and my kids like the bus. Sorry, but The Bus absolutely will NOT allow luggage (and there's no room for it anyway). You will have to do private transport, commercial shuttle, or cab. beachchick
lozzajelly Posted November 27, 2006 #7 Share Posted November 27, 2006 Definitely take a cab. You're on holiday!!!!! The most you'll be charged is $20.

And, there is nothing exciting/interesting to see between HNL and the pier.
bubiesmom Posted December 1, 2006 #9 Share Posted December 1, 2006 ow, thanks for the info, didn't consider luggage on the bus thing....it's been 20 years since I've been to Hawaii, couldn't remember much about Waikiki beach
Keith1010 Posted December 1, 2006 #10 Share Posted December 1, 2006 Yes, I would get a cab. We were there in March and wanted to get over to Waikiki from the pier and the cost of the cab with tip was about $15.00. We walked back which was about a three or four mile walk. The cab is your best bet. Keith

rburns44 Posted December 1, 2006 #12 Share Posted December 1, 2006 I had a cab called and a limo pulled up. I thought, wait aminute! I can't afford a limo. But the limos are metered like cabs. Cost me around $20 just like a cab. Becky
