Sandi149 Posted November 17, 2006 #1 Share Posted November 17, 2006 Hi, I am wondering if my husband and I can use two different credit cards for our sail and sign card when we go on our cruise next June? We would like to use one credit card for his sail/sign and another credit card for my sail/sign. Is that possible? I saw a post about this somewhere on here a few weeks ago but never read it and now I can't find it. Thanks. :)

joepeka Posted November 17, 2006 #3 Share Posted November 17, 2006 I cannot imagine that Carnival would have a problem with that - just use two different credit cards at embarkation. Unless they insist that the names on the booking all be on the same card account?
Sandi149 Posted November 17, 2006 Author #4 Share Posted November 17, 2006 Thanks.....have another question. When my TA booked us, he used my maiden name and married name together. You see, legally I'm still under my maiden name but most documents that I have, i.e. driver's license, checkbook, etc are in my married name. Credit cards I have in the two different names. My passport is under both maiden and married. So will this be a problem when I give my credit card upon check in? I only have credit cards in either name, none with both together, so will this be a problem?

I still legally have my married name... but my passport and DL have both married and maiden names on them... debit card has married name, and my business AMEX has my maiden name. I've never had a problem, because both names are on my passport.

sjcruiser Posted November 24, 2006 #12 Share Posted November 24, 2006 Dont get me started on the deposit amount. My PVP told me $500.00 per person. At Embarkation, they told me $300.00 per person. The Pursers Desk told me whatever amount I wanted. I choose to use my travelers checks and save the credit cards for other purchases at port. My onboard credit also came in handy. I think the amount is up to you. Just monitor your spending and they also put a preliminary bill under your door halfway through the cruise.
