LeftcoastBC Posted November 18, 2006 #3 Share Posted November 18, 2006 YOur offical boarding time will be in your docs. Unoffical time varies because of turn around time needed to vacate the ship after it's arrival eg. late arrival laater boarding. Also Immigration staff for USA (Your going from Canada on to a US bound ship)sometimes has other places to be and depending on ship #'s in Port. etc etc. & main terminal security checks doesn't open fully until around 10 or so. That being said most ships allow boarding process to start around 10:30 but its a bit of a crap shoot.
Langley Cruisers Posted November 20, 2006 #4 Share Posted November 20, 2006 ^ ^ With due respect, I think that's a generous estimate. Our last cruise there was absolutely no way the passengers would have all disembarked by 10:30 am. I think that kind of turnaround is hopeful, but doubtful. I'd shoot for 11 am and hope for the best. We were talking about EM-barkation.... I read the Carnival website and it said embarkation would be 12:30. On all the cruises I've been on, DIS-embarkation was very early - 8:00 - 9:00,

Read my post again and I think you'll see what I was saying. :)
BCHappyGal Posted November 21, 2006 #7 Share Posted November 21, 2006 I have not sailed out of Vancouver on a Carnival ship - however for the 3 cruises which I have taken from my home port (Vancouver) I have been at Canada Place for 11am and virtually walked onto the ship. Then watched the lineups form behind me!!!!!!
