Has anyone stayed in this cabin - 1312 on Voyager of the Seas? I've read conflicting reports as to balcony obstruction - its the first cabin on the hump. I have it on hold - but would like to know if its an obstructed view and if so, how bad is the obstruction? Any information would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

My parents had 1312 on the Adventure of the Seas in February (sister ship to the voyager) I was in their cabin many times and on the balcony as well, and I would definitely notice if there were any obstructions....there were not. There may have been slightly more metal around the top of the balcony...but the view outwards was crystal clear. Unfortunately, I did not take pics of their cabin. I do have pics of 1324 which was our GS cabin at the other end of the hump (you will be able to see what I mean by a bit more metal...) but look at our view....it was fantastic!:) I say keep the cabin! The location on the hump is central to everything.

I've stayed in this room twice...on the Adventure and Explorer. It's a great location due to it being at the front of the hump. However, the balcony is slightly obstructed. Instead of one large opening, it is split into two. Pipes run right down the middle of the balcony causing a split in the opening. The forward opening is about the size of a regular balcony on those ships. The aft opening is only large enough for one to stand at. This is a problem because the balconies are in the structure of the ship, unlike the Navigator and Mariner.

And no, just because the deck plans don't say obstructed doesn't mean that it isn't.

Thank you so much Paul - I can see exactly what you mean in your pictures (looks like you guys had a great cruise!) Since you stayed in this cabin twice, I can only assume that you liked it. I like the fact that we can look forward from the balcony. I'm going to stay put in 1312. I read someplace else that RC can bump you out of your cabin if its a connected cabin and you are not traveling with the party next door - I read that on the CC site, but can't find it on the RCCI site. That sort of troubles me... But thank you all - at least I know what to expect with the pipes.

You're right. The balcony is not obstructed enough to really complain about. The view from the balcony is great. I've stayed in the room twice, and I'd do it again.

By the way, we were not with an ajoining party and there was no problem. You'll love the cruise and the room. The location is wonderfaul - easy access to Windjammer, pool deck, dining rooms, etc. :)

Hi Paul,

I just booked this cabin for the Adventure in December. It sounds great and thanks for the pix. Just a few quick questions. Was there enough room out on the balcony for a chaise chair? What kind of furniture was out on the balcony. Was there a walk in closet. I heard if the room is adjoining, the walk in closets are deleted.

Thanks again Paul....

The balcony has two regular chairs, a small table, and a chaise chair. There is alot of room on the balcony, and being at the front of the hump gives you a great view. You have an OS window to the left, and the OS balcony to the right is out of view. This makes the balcony very private.

Unfortunately, no walk in. The ajoining door is where the walk-in would be. A plus about the missing walk-in is added square footage in the room itself. It makes the room huge. There is a normal wall closet.

Enjoy your cruise. You'll love this room.:)
