First Time on a Back to Back Cruise

Hello!

My new hubby and I are leaving for our honeymoon in less than two weeks. We'll be on the Crown Princess for two weeks (two back-to-back seven-night cruises). The actual itineraries for both weeks are different, but I'm wondering if the dining room dinner menus the second week will be identical to the menus we have the first week? Anyone know? We're trying to figure out what nights to make our reservations for Ultimate Balcony Dining, Sabatini's and Crown Grill.

Thanx!!

Yep, both will be the same. We did a Caribbean b2b in Jan 2005; it was fantastic to do that and you'll love it.

The good news is on the second segment, you can then order what you wanted to try when there were hard choices to make from the menu. And like you said, on the second segment you'll know which nights to dine in other spots.

The fun part is watching everyone disembark while you remain onboard! After we were escorted through the "in transit" process and issued our new second segment cruise cards, do what we did. We went up to the deck, sunbathed and read. As new passengers were embarking and walking all around the ship, we got lots of weird stares. One lady came up and said to us, "well....you SURE didn't waste any time, did you??!!" With quite a snotty tone, I might add. We just smiled and replied, "we didn't get off....".

Enjoy and congrats on your wedding! :)

Awesome! Thank you all for such great advice...we were really having a hard time deciding what days to book the alternative restaurants. This will really help!

Fairsky, that's exactly what we had planned to do! Our itinerary is very port-intensive, so we figure the day that everyone else disembarks (but we stay on) will be the perfect day to lounge by the pool...and we won't have to worry about chair-hogs! He he.

JLC, that had never even occurred to me...what a good idea.

Pescado, HA!

EXACTLY what we enjoyed, the deck to ourselves!!! I assume you won't be changing cabins either.

On our b2b, originally we were booked in the same cabin. But at the last minute, we were asked if we would mind moving across the deck for our second segment. A family with three cabins had hoped to be next to each other, and our cabin was in the middle. We didn't mind at all, as we've traveled with our families ourselves.

We gladly moved, and in fact, Princess moved everything for us while we were sunbathing on the deck that last/first day! We didn't have to lift a finger; they did it all.

JLC described much better what I was trying to describe about the menus. You'll even get to play "know-it-all" and tell your tablemates all about the various menu selections ;)

Post here when you return and let us all know how your cruise(s) were. Love to hear.
