gruff Posted November 19, 2006 #1 Share Posted November 19, 2006 I'm boarding Brilliance of the Seas on 1st. December and I'm not sure which tours I want to do. Do I need to book them on line? What is the downside of waiting to book till I'm on board.
peteukmcr Posted November 19, 2006 #2 Share Posted November 19, 2006 Hi Gruff You can book them online before you depart and there should be a list of tours provided when you get your docs. You will get a list provided in your cabin once you board. You can book them via the TV but there is a cut off time for the next day, if you miss that you have to go to the 'Explorations' desk next to Guest Relations. The downside to booking on board is that the popular tours maybe sold out by the time you get onboard. You also will have to join the line at the Explorations desk that at times can be very long and they are only open for certain times of the day, you need to check your Cruise Compass. madforcruising Posted November 19, 2006 #3 Share Posted November 19, 2006 I recommend the preboking of the shore excursions to avoid disappointment. Once on board it can be hard to get the tour you want because it´s already booked completely. As I read from your post you are boarding Dec. 1st. so make sure to book them soon if you choose to as there is a time limit for pre-booking. Pre-booking closes ten days prior sail date. Up to ten days prior to your cruise you can book, cancel and change tours online. The cost of the tours is charged towards your credit card. Once onboard you still can change or cancel prebooked tours up to the deadline which is usually about 24 hours before departure of the tour (deadline can vary but is stated in the cruise compass). If you cancel a prebooked tour the cost is not credited to your credit card but towards your onboard account. If a tour you want is not available online you should try asap once onboard. They always keep a certain amount of spots for selling onboard.
cb at sea Posted November 19, 2006 #4 Share Posted November 19, 2006 Actually, they hold back a certain number of spots for those who don't book in advance. When you board, you should be able to book pretty much anything that you want.
pach Posted November 19, 2006 #5 Share Posted November 19, 2006 If you know which excursions you want to do I would suggest booking before hand. If you aren't sure, browse the excursions at www.rccl.com. Have fun!
