stevess Posted November 20, 2006 #1 Share Posted November 20, 2006 Trying to choose between M.H. Ross and Travelex. I have seen some positive comments on Travelex claims. Does anyone have experience with M.H. Ross? I like their cancel for any reason benefit.
jerseygirl3 Posted November 20, 2006 #2 Share Posted November 20, 2006 Not familiar with the Ross policy, but I love Travelex. They have very competitive rates and their customer service is outstanding. They paid on a claim with no hassle whatsoever.
AAAAmerican Posted November 20, 2006 #3 Share Posted November 20, 2006 Yes we had asked those same questions and more . M H Ross is a nice firm and self insured. TravelEx is good as well. We use and used this firm ***** and they give you a FREE Comparison with all vital facts listed. Make sure in your State the firm is adequately funded as well rated well. Comparisons are so important. Apples to Apples..;) Trying to choose between M.H. Ross and Travelex. I have seen some positive comments on Travelex claims. Does anyone have experience with M.H. Ross? stevess Posted November 21, 2006 Author #4 Share Posted November 21, 2006 I have heard those positive things about Travelex and was about to go with them when the agent at Insuremytrip noted that M.H. Ross offered a cancel for any reason benefit. It pays 75% of your nonrefundable costs. It is very comparable in price and benefits (maybe better) to Travelex Lite. If service was good and reliable I would go with Ross. Any comments?
stevess Posted November 21, 2006 Author #5 Share Posted November 21, 2006 Oops, just noticed that the cancel for any reason benefit of M.H. Ross raises the cost by about 85%. Still could be worth it for some.

cruiseco Posted November 21, 2006 #7 Share Posted November 21, 2006 Oops, just noticed that the cancel for any reason benefit of M.H. Ross raises the cost by about 85%. Still could be worth it for some. Actually, everything else being equal it adds 50%. On their fax/mail form if you want the cancel for any reason you first figure the normal premium then add 50%. Both give very good claims service. MH Ross has higher medical/emergency evac coverages ($100,000 vs $50,000) if that's important to you. M H Ross is . . . self insured. I have no idea what that means.
