New brochure on QM2 misleading.

I mentioned this on another thread but thought that now that I have confirmed it with Cunard, I should mention it again.

To take advantage of the 50% discount on the return portion of a transatlantic voyage - you must be assigned to the SAME Cabin # both ways.

This does not appear anywhere in the brochure - I was told this when I booked, and was the reason for my booking so early (sailing May 4, 2005) IF for instance I had waited, and the same cabin # was not available, I would not have been able to get that heafty discount.

Now, I couldn't believe this, thinking that she must have meant that you have to return in the same cabin category, not necessarily the same cabin.

I checked this with another booking agent at Cunard and was told the same thing - I said " The brochure is misleading then" and she agreed it was.

Thought this might be of interest to those planning to take advantage of this return rate. Or is this another instance when 'proper' information is not being put forth?
